Rottweiler Rescue of Southern New Mexico, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care, housing and re-homing of Rottweilers that have been abandoned, neglected or abused. Due to the popularity of this magnificent breed, we find many dogs looking for new homes because owners acquired them for all the wrong reasons, then didn't want them anymore. We strive to match the right dog with the right home so this never happens again for the life of the dog.
You will not find a more loyal, loving and attentive companion than a well adjusted Rottweiler. However, not all Rotties are raised in the best of environments nor do owners properly socialize or train them which, unfortunately, may lead to unwanted behaviors. We evaluate all dogs that come into our program and will work to correct problems that are evident.
We require an adoption application, home visit and $250 donation to acquire one of our dogs. All dogs are spayed or neutered, receive appropriate vaccinations, are heatworm tested, microchipped and given necessary medical care.
We are always looking for fosters to house dogs until a forever home can be found. If you are interested please let us know. Since we are a volunteer group donations are gladly accepted and put to good use.
